Mortality
Coverage
The
Full Mortality policy provides coverage for death as
a result of an injury, illness, or humane destruction,
and includes loss or death as a result of theft. Coverage
territory includes the continental U.S.A. and Canada.
Vet certificates are not required for horses valued
up to $100,000. Foals under 30 days old require a Foal
Vet Certificate.
Colic
Surgery Coverage
At
no extra cost, the Full Mortality policy includes coverage
for colic surgery up to $3,000.
Guaranteed Extension
The
Full Mortality policy also includes Guaranteed Extension
coverage. This coverage provides that in the event of
a condition occurring and reported during the policy
period, mortality coverage will automatically continue
for up to 12 months from the expiration date for that
specific condition.
Value Endorsement
AEIG
Full Mortality policies also include a Value endorsement.
This coverage provides that in the event of a mortality
claim, if the value of your horse at any time during
the policy period was equal to the limit of indemnity,
you will be paid that amount.
Additional Medical and Surgical Coverages
Equine Medical and Surgical
For an additional charge, coverage can be added to your Mortality Policy for the cost of medical and surgical procedures including diagnostics as a result of accident, illness, injury, or disease. This coverage is available for horses ages 31 days to 20 years following underwriting guidelines.

This coverage includes medical or surgical colic; treatment or surgery for illness, or external and violent injuries; treatment for neurological disorders as a result of illness; treatment for viral or bacterial illness; and treatment of lameness arising from laminitis.
Equine
Third Party Liability Coverage
Available
as an addition to your mortality policy, this option
provides coverage in the event your horse injures a
third party or damages their property. Coverage is for
defense fees and pays claims for which you are legally
liable up to an annual aggregate limit of $25,000.
Should you desire higher liability limits, consider
